Action Ministries’ WeServe events are fun, large-scale service projects that allow local communities to come together to meet the needs of friends, family, neighbors and colleagues struggling with hunger and food insecurity.
“We were so inspired by the SuperPack program and were honored to help end hunger in our community.”
Rev. Dr. John Beyers
Senior Minister, LaGrange First UMC
“We could not be more thankful for Action Ministries and their immaculate planning and execution fo this event.”
Each #WeServe event includes the following components:
SuperPacks SuperPacks are bags of food that can be easily and discreetly placed in a child’s backpack to take home over the weekend and during breaks.
SnackPacks These small packs of a drink, fruit component, and snack act as vital supplements to our SuperPacks to help kids stay full and focused.
Tough Choices The experience of poverty can be foreign for some—these stations are designed to help you to the difficult and, at times, discouraging decisions thousands of neighbors make daily.
Literacy Kits Franke Serafini once wrote, “There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children who have not found the right book.” We provide free reading and enrichment materials.
Warm and Fuzzies Each SnackPack includes encouraging notes and inspirational quotes from volunteers, spreading joy and hope to thousands of kids across Georgia.
Fun Zone We are committed to making each WeServe event fun and engaging for the whole family. Fun Zones are designated areas packed with games, puzzles, activities, face-painting, and fun!
Music and More Along with a live DJ to get the beat going, each of our #WeServe events includes refreshments for volunteers and customized opportunities unique to each location that further equip and encourage attendees to further flourish their community and meet new friends.
