As we begin this new year at Action Ministries, we have much to be grateful for. In 2018, together we served over 133,000 individuals—enough to fill the Mercedes Benz Stadium twice! These were people like you and me, our neighbors, who found themselves in difficult circumstances. Whether hungry, homeless, or simply looking for an opportunity to improve their lives, you made a difference as a part of our 15,000 volunteer tribe.
Together, we brought a light of hope into otherwise dark conditions. Thank you!
It is amazing to think about how much work has been done, how much hope has been shared, how many tomorrows have been formed. At the same time, we are a part of a world that seems to be incredibly divided. Imagine the anxiety these divisions cause you, and then consider that same anxiety through the eyes of the poor. I am writing to ask for your help. I am asking you to join us as we take a stand that rises above the issues causing our division, a stand that brings Hope when nothing else seems to be going right.
At Action Ministries…We stand with the poor! That is our mandate and our mission. Our work together offers food to the hungry, a place to stay for the stranger, and hope in a better tomorrow for all who come to us for help.
The reality facing too many today in Georgia is dire…
• 1 in 5 children have no idea where their next meal will come from
• 10,000 people on a given night still have no place to call home
• 2 out of 3 of Georgia’s 3rd graders are not reading at grade level
…is this reality that we want for the next generation?
You can help by joining us in this stand. Volunteering in service to others, giving of your resources to help a neighbor, and sharing why you support Action Ministries with your friends and colleagues are all powerful ways to make a difference. Together we can rise above the division and be hopeful again.
Please join us in 2019, where together… We stand with the poor!
