How Can I Help?

How Can I Help?

Approximately 1 million children in Georgia schools are eligible to receive free or reduced-price lunch, a crucial meal that disappears in the summer. Smart Lunch, Smart Kid, through the dedication of thousands of volunteers and donors, ensures that these children are fed in the summer and on school breaks. Unlike other feeding programs, we take the food to the children in their neighborhoods, removing the barrier of lack of transportation.

 Volunteer to deliver lunches

We are seeking individuals, civic and faith-based groups, families, Scouts and businesses to help deliver lunches as often as one day a week for 10 weeks or as few times as four days this summer. Drivers must be 18 years of age or older. All adults who interact with the children we serve must complete and pay for a background check. Hours: Weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To sign up or for more information, contact your local coordinator. Needs and details vary by location.
