Action Serves

Housing icon-CMYK300dpiAction Ministries is committed to serving veterans and their families. The men and women who bravely protected our country often return home with wounds, both physical and mental, which make it difficult to return to civilian life. We aim to ease their transition by helping them find housing and providing the assistance they need to maintain their housing stability.

Through funding opportunities from critical partners, Action Serves has been an instrumental community partner in the prevention of veteran homelessness. Action Ministries’ Housing team works to ensure that all veterans who access our services either receive the necessary resources to prevent homelessness or are Rapidly Re-housed in environments that best suit their needs.

Action Serves ends homelessness by:

  • Working with participants to create a sustainable housing plan

  • Providing case management services such as housing counseling, house-searching, utility set-up, mediation with property owners, budgeting assistance, and employment assistance

  • Helping clients access community services and benefits

  • Providing temporary financial assistance to eligible veterans, including assistance with rent, security deposits, utilities, moving costs, childcare, transportation expenses, etc.
