WE ARE … Action Ministries Gainesville
We offer a number of programs to help Hall County residents break the cycle of poverty and regain an independent lifestyle:
Emergency financial assistance prevents homelessness and utility disconnection.
Personalized case management engages clients in problem-solving to prevent future crises. Where applicable, we provide referrals to needed community resources.
Our Families in Action program challenges vulnerable families to develop long-term strategies to achieve self-sufficiency.
Educational opportunities, such as providing GED testing fees and classes in financial literacy, remove barriers that prevent people from breaking the cycle of poverty.
Our White Christmas event provides low-income families with toys, food and other necessities. A connection made here can lead to a longer-term partnership, allowing us to impact the lives of families on their self-sufficiency journey
With the help of local Partners in Service, Action Ministries’ regional hunger relief programs provide children who receive free or reduced-price lunches during the school year with lunch during the summer and families with Feed the Hungry food boxes throughout the year.
