Living in a shelter shouldn’t interfere with your dreams. -Iesha, Action Ministries client and college student
Our mission is to mobilize metro Atlanta communities to address the challenges of poverty by focusing on education. By meeting immediate needs and providing top-notch educational opportunities, our programs are designed to lead people out of poverty.
We serve low-income and homeless women and children through the Women’s Community Kitchen and the Smart Kid After-School program. Kids like Iesha face special challenges as they strive to achieve their educational goals. Since 1988, Action Ministries has worked with children and their families to meet these challenges, achieve their dreams and ultimately break the cycle of poverty.
They made sure I had all the resources I needed to be successful, despite my circumstances.
