Admissions

For Clients and Referrals

Thank you for your interest in our program!

Breakthru House is open to women 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or financial means to pay for treatment. Due to the therapeutic community model utilized at Breakthru House, women requiring in-depth mental health services beyond the treatment scope will be provided referrals to a more appropriate treatment option.

In taking the first step toward recovery, prospective clients must contact the office directly by calling 404-284-4658 to complete a phone screening or submit the application for interview found here. If appropriate, individuals must:

• Complete an intake interview.

• Be at least five to seven days detoxed.

• Have a negative TB and RPR screening.

• Provide a mental health and/or prior treatment records.

• Submit to a drug screen, producing negative results.

Once we receive your application or phone screening, the treatment team will review it and determine whether or not you may be eligible for treatment at Breakthru House. If yes, we will contact you to schedule a face-to-face interview. If there is a waiting list, we will contact you to schedule an interview once a space becomes available. If you are not available for a face-to-face interview, we can schedule your interview to be done by phone. If you are applying for a scholarship, you will be required to submit a scholarship application and proof of income at the time of the face-to-face interview. We require a minimum of five days clean prior to admission and TB and RPR test results. After your interview, the treatment team will make a decision regarding your admission.
