They make each individual feel wanted. Truly, I don’t know how to say it except … they’re inspirational.
After my mom died, my stepdad had a massive stroke. I chose to leave my job to stay home and take care of him rather than put him in a nursing home. I went back in 2009 to look for work, but there were few openings for someone without a high school education.
All I knew how to do was build houses, and that market was shut down. I just watched everything falling apart. I was basically at a dead-end road. I said right then, “I’ve got to get my education. I’ve got to get my GED.” Action Ministries helped me do that. If they hadn’t been here, I don’t know what I’d be doing. Action Ministries is all I need. It’s got everything that has helped me move forward.
