“Many extended stay properties become permanent housing for low income families, who are stuck on the bridge between homelessness and stable housing,” according to Kelley Henderson, CEO of Action Ministries. With success in previous large scale relocations, Action Ministries was an ideal partner for this project.
“This partnership demonstrates what can happen when people come together to find solutions for tough problems at the local community level, and will have a huge impact on the quality of life for all of the families involved,” said Henderson.

You can help Action Ministries end homelessness!
With over 2,000 community partners, and 11,000 community volunteers, Action Ministries serves not only as an access point for housing, hunger relief, and education services, but also as a premier volunteer and community resource for churches, civic organizations, businesses, foundations, individuals, and local government. It is these partnerships that turn service opportunities into strong community ties inviting all to the table to lead, serve, and help break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
When families move out of homelessness and into permanent housing opportunities, they’re starting from the beginning. Help these families settle in to their new homes and break the cycle with Welcome Kits and a Feed the Hungry Box. Donations to Feed the Hungry can be made at http://actionministries.net/locations/hunger-relief/.
